Semmedu Plant: Sweet Responsibly

The Semmedu Plant is an Integrated Sugar complex that includes a Sugar Plant, Co-Generation Plant, and Distillery, with capacities of 4000 TCD, 20.5 MWh, and 80 KLPD, respectively. Commissioned in 2009 and fully automated by 2014, the facility features advanced equipment that enhances efficiency and sustainability. This factory supports thousands of local farmers and workers, significantly contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.

The Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant, along with a 50,000-cubic-meter rainwater harvesting tank and green cover, exemplifies environmental stewardship and supports groundwater replenishment.
